were my best friends for 15 years. I wanted to memorialize them in a special way and keep them close to me. I
searched for a special urn to lay their ashes to rest but I could not find anything that was personal enough for me.
I asked my husband if he would help me build something special for them. We went to a lumber store and picked out
a piece of poplar wood that looked soft and beautiful like Gracie, and a piece of oak wood that looked tabby striped with
character like Woody. We crafted the boxes so that a picture could be inserted in the front. We built them with
love and tears in our woodshop. Upon encouragement from others to share our craft, we are building these special pet memorial photographic
urns for all beloved pets that have crossed over the "Rainbow
Bridge".
